Social purpose at our core

We create opportunities for all our colleagues to give back to the communities we serve and make a difference, including through paid volunteering days, environmental initiatives and fundraising activities.

"The use of my volunteering days is important as it gives me the opportunity to contribute towards causes which are important to me. It's also key for me to work for an organisation which takes its social responsibility seriously and recognises the value of these days to the wider business."

Will Costello
Socitm Advisory

"Having the opportunity to get involved in things like the Socitm Woodland has been really good. It's a great opportunity to give back, even by doing something simple like planting trees."

Rachael McKenzie
Senior Creative Designer (Socitm Advisory)

"The rebrand looks great, and you have clearly put in so much work and done this so quickly for us, you've been amazing!"

Kerry Devine
Improving Lives Nottingham

“I'm absolutely blown away by the work Socitm Advisory have done during their volunteered time to our charities rebrand. I think it looks fantastic.... We really can't thank Socitm Advisory enough.”

Our key areas of focus in CSR

Charity fundraising

Each year our colleagues select a number of charities to support. We aim to raise funds for chosen charities through a number of activities including sponsored cycle rides, silent auctions and gift donations.

Over the last two years, together with Socitm, we have raised over £6,000 for YoungMinds. We also fundraised and sponsored other charities and have been involved in initiatives across the UK.

Paid volunteering days

Every colleague at Socitm Advisory is given four paid days per year to get involved in volunteering work; whether that is through opportunities organised by us, or opportunities close to their hearts that they want to get involved with.

Recently some of our colleagues have used these volunteering days to help their local environments picking litter and cleaning up their local beaches, supporting local charities by offering their expertise for free, doing sponsored cycle rides, and more.

The environment

We support the work of The Heart of England Forest to help them to expand and maintain woodland areas and create habitats for wildlife. Over the last few years we have planted over 500 trees in woodland.

Our recent work

As well as YoungMinds and The Heart of England Forest, we have a number of initiatives and goals we are working towards as part of our CSR commitment, which includes supporting a variety of different organisations close to our hearts as both a company and to our individual colleagues.

Litter picks and beach cleans

Our colleagues often take part in litter picking activities across the UK, as well as some of our coastal-living team taking part in cleaning up the Cornwall coast with Surfers Against Sewage.

We’re delighted to sponsor the Matthiola Madrid FC U7 team based in Warrington, who create an environment where everyone can express and enjoy themselves. Our sponsorship has helped with kit and travel expenses.

Take Our Hand

We are proud to support Take Our Hand, a bereavement charity based in Norfolk, most recently sponsoring their Bluebell Ball, raising money to support young people dealing with loss.

Our team also take part in the Giving Tree initiative for KidsOut, opting to replace the gifts we would usually buy one another on special occasions with a donation of a gift to a child in refuge.
