Corporate
social responsibility
At Socitm Advisory, we have a shared desire to give something back to society.
For any modern growing business, having an approach to the impact of climate change, supporting local communities, ensuring responsible business practices, and the creation of a quality working environment are all a core part of business strategy.

Carbon reduction plan
Following the amendment of the UK Government's Climate Change Act 2008 (2019) we are proud to be part of this net zero target. We are taking active steps towards being net zero for emissions by 2025.
Our 'CSR Vision 2025'

Giving back to charitable causes
We will donate at least £5,000 to charitable causes by the end of 2021 - which we achieved - and will continue this trend each year.

Over 5,000 hours of voluntary work
We will have contributed over 5,000 hours of employee-driven voluntary work by 2023 as part of our community programme, and will continue this trend each year.

Employees involved in social impact work
We will have 30% of our people involved in some type of social impact work, reflecting both their personal passion and supporting what we offer as an organisation.

A leading voice in wellbeing
We will be a leading voice in the communities in which we operate, promoting the wellbeing agenda to keep our colleagues, partners and customers happy, healthy and engaged.
An environmentally conscious business
We will be regarded as an environmentally conscious business by 2025, in line with our industry sector, including in carbon reduction.

Our 2021/22 charities
In 2021/22 we have chosen two amazing charities to support over the next 12 months - voted for by our employees: The Lowdown (a voluntary mental health charity) and The Trussell Trust (supporting a nationwide network of food banks).

The Lowdown is a voluntary mental health charity providing free and confidential counselling, emotional wellbeing, sexual health and LGBTQ+ support services from 11-25 year olds.
They offer a caring environment where young people are supported on their journey towards positive emotional health and wellbeing.
They are proud recipients of the Queen's Awards for Voluntary Service and also members of the REACH partnership of five agencies which provides professional and confidential counselling for young people across Northamptonshire.
The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty - including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food banks in the UK to provide a minimum of three days' nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.

Volunteering with Rennie Grove
In mid-2020, a number of our team volunteered their expertise to support Rennie Grove Hospice Care with workshops, Change Management, and Project Management.
Wellbeing at Socitm Advisory
Wellbeing is vitally important to us and sits at the heart of our company. We want to ensure we are supporting our colleagues and their families through the twists and turns of everyday life.
As well as our own Wellbeing Hub, we provide all employees access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) via Health Assured. The portal provides confidential access to wellbeing facts, videos, self-help programmes, interactive tools, educational resources, and free counselling sessions.
We have also recently launched Socitm Advisory Wellbeing with hero wellbeing, offering a wealth of resources and support to our team and specialist training for our dedicated in-house Wellbeing Managers and Champions, who are here to help anyone in our team!

"I have enjoyed the variety of tasks that I get to do on a daily basis, not only does it keep me on my toes and keep challenging me, but it is also great for my learning and development. I have enjoyed one bid in particular, working on the Technology Enabled Care project for Kingston Council, and the KPI reporting and analysis has been very engaging and rewarding."
