The newly created Head of Strategic Marketing and PR role forms a key and critical part of the Wider Leadership Team and is instrumental in delivering success for Socitm Advisory. The purpose of this exciting role is to shape the overall strategic development and operational delivery of the Marketing and Pr function, enabling the delivery of the mid- to long-term growth strategy for the company.

The successful candidate for this strategic role will be responsible for aligning the marketing function with the organisation's goals and objectives and deliver long-term sustainable growth for the company. you will collaboratively lead the development of the marketing and PR strategy focusing on the enablement and delivery of the corporate strategy.

Having overall responsibility for the creation of clear and effective PR and marketing collateral, including client-focused, benefit-led, SEO-optimised attractive copy that represents our brand voice. Working with and developing a talented team of direct reports you will create and oversee execution of highly effective marketing and PR campaigns in collaboration with the Business Development Director, and their team.

Knowledge and skills

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the consultancy sector working into the public and private sector
     

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate staff and bring people together

Experience

  • Experience of operating at Marketing Director level within a consultancy or professional services organisation
     

  • Demonstrated a high level of knowledge and experience in marketing strategy, PR and operational implementation
     

  • Confident to delegate and deliver through a senior management team, balancing the need for direction with the benefits of creating space for autonomy and personal growth
     

  • Strong commercial understanding of the drivers of growth and how marketing and PR can fuel and drive the growth
     

  • Experience of leading on external presentations, managing Board level stakeholders and creating innovative and engaging solutions for internal customers across the company
     

  • Proven ability to influence at Board level and in building lasting relationships
