We are Socitm Advisory - the management consulting business for the public sector.
As a member of the programme/project team servicing our public sector clients, you will enjoy working with several customers on a variety of different technology and business process change engagements, typically undertaking discovery exercises where you help us, and the end-client understand their business and needs.
Once you have uncovered all that you need, you will document and help present the information back to the relevant stakeholders before the follow-up change or implementation.
What we're looking for:
Experience as a Management Consultant or Business Analyst with responsibility for designing digital services, or as a Service Designer, User Researcher, User Experience (UX) Designer or Interaction Designer
Track record of designing and improving digital services and products - this can be anything from websites to digital processes, most importantly you are able to articulate how you go about the process of delivering this and are proud of where you have been a positive difference
Experience working in an agile environment and good working understanding of agile methodologies with the ability to adapt the principles to apply in practice
Effective oral and written communication skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels and in a variety of styles
Able to ingest large amounts of information to pick out the pertinent points quickly and succinctly

Understanding of, and interest in, technology. A real passion to keep yourself abreast of developments in technology and digital transformation
Strategic thinker - able to 'join the dots' and consider the big picture while focusing in on the problem to be solved
Experience working within or with the local government, housing or central government sectors
Ability to focus on users' needs and demonstrable examples of producing solutions
Experience designing and leading engagement with stakeholders through workshops, one-to-ones, observations, etc.
Experience of working with relative autonomy, including effective personal and time management
Experience of writing reports
